Uniquely useful in Coaching Supervision

The Profile is a psychometric tool that can provide a rich source of learning for coaches and mentors who wish to understand themselves and others , and so increase their effectiveness in relating. It is written in positive, supportive language that is clear, direct and valuing of the variety of personality types there are. Each Profile is unique to the person and based upon responses to 25 frame Evaluator that can be completed on-line, or on paper. It based on a simple and memorable colour system that is easy to understand and recall that makes long term application and change far more likely. The preferences revealed represent a snapshot of current energies in use, and ways of being in the world. It offers ideas for growth and development, and is particularly valuable in giving insight into why we find certain people ‘difficult’ to relate to.

Each Profile contains the Foundation Chapter, which comprises:
  • Overview
  • Key strengths and weaknesses
  • Value to the Team
  • Communication
  • Possible Blind Spots
  • Opposite Type
  • Suggestions for Development
  • Insights Wheel, Graphs and Preferences.
Supplementary chapters are available which apply this knowledge to specific areas including Sales, Management, Personal Achievement and Candidate Interviews.

The Insights System is built around the model of personality first identified by the Swiss Psychologist Carl Gustav Jung. This model was published in his 1921 work ‘Psychological Types’ and developed in subsequent writings. Jung’s work on personality and preferences has since been adopted as the seminal work in understanding personality and has been the subject of much research to the present day.

Using Jung’s typology, the profile offers a framework for self-understanding and development. Research suggests that a good understanding of self, both strengths and weaknesses, enables individuals to develop effective strategies for interaction and can help them to respond more effectively to the demands of their environment.

Deeper Insights is currently being developed (September, 2004) as an additional chapter to the Profile, and takes the learning into the less conscious and unconscious aspects of the self.

‘Within each type lies a myriad of psychological possibilities. Deeper Insights takes Jung’s type theory to a new dynamic application – one that coaxes the whole self into a life journey. What you will hopefully appreciate from this exploration is that you are defined as significantly from what you are not as that which you own and claim to be consciously.’
