A Programme as a Way of Being

This Coach Development Programme centres on creating a lively professional partnership with coaches - one in which they can significantly develop their range and capabilities as a coach and supervisor and return to their work resourced and stimulated. It is highly experiential in its approach, whilst still supported by teaching, practice and feedback within classic and current supervision theories and models.

"CSA's coaching supervision programme is cross-disciplinary & leading edge as it integrates knowledge from many different fields. Having qualified as a CTI coach it has been liberating to work with many new models & perspectives that have enabled me to deepen & broaden my supervision practice, all in service of my clients. I have felt hugely met & supported throughout the learning journey. I would highly recommend this course to any coach who is ready to take their practice to a new level."

Will entered the coaching/supervision field in 2009 and gained CSA accreditation in 2017. A valued member of our Faculty, he has taught as both Tutor and Facilitator, and has led the UK programme as Lead Facilitator since UK18.

"I see my supervision as holding a space in which a coach can explore, examine, play and experiment with who they are as a coach, what that means for the relationships they form, the energy they offer and the skills they use in service of their clients.

As a supervisor I insist on a commitment to being present together, on learning from our relationship and on inviting the you to step into your more open, spacious self. While we will work with specific examples, we’ll also explore the wider context of coaching, we’ll explore the boundaries of coaching and other forms of talking profession, we’ll encounter ethical issues and the effectiveness of contracting.

Together we will experience challenge, provocation, fun, warmth, compassion, emotion, relationship and more."

Louise has been a CSA Faculty member since 2024 as a tutor for CSA's UK Diploma program and this year is delighted to be bringing her passion and experience as a co-facilitator to the UK20 Diploma program. With Will Medd she has also co-created and delivers CSA's 'Exploring the Dance of Group Supervision'. Louise brings with her experience of 20 years as a coach and 7 years as a Coach Supervisor working extensively in both team and group settings.

It always feels a privilege to do this work as a supervisor sitting side by side coaches as they explore their work. There is something magical about co-creating a curious, safe and reflective space where both supervisor and supervisee can be fully present to what is unfolding, in which deep learning emerges. I believe supervision at its best harnesses the wisdom found in the present moment, creativity of the supervisee and allows for both vulnerability and challenge.
